An Exhibit of Color Drawings by Elizabeth Auxier

Exhibit Opening: March 1, 2008

“Momentary Distortions,” an exhibit of color drawings by Elizabeth Auxier will feature large, intimate still-lifes with an emphasis on distortions through glass. The subject matter includes ordinary objects, including piano keys, books, fruit, antique clocks, teapots and sugar bowls. Each work captures a view of familiar objects that is unique due to the detailed rendering of particular distortions through glass.
Liz grew up in West Hartford, CT. She attended Manhattanville College and received a B.F.A in 2003 as well as New York State Art Teacher Certification. After returning to Connecticut and teaching for four years, she is now showing her work in partial fulfillment of a Master of Science in Art Education degree from Central Connecticut State University
This exhibit will be on display at the Barney Library in Farmington, ">Connecticut. The show will open on March 1st from 1-4 p.m. and will remain open until March 27, 2008
