Book Drops

There are three book drops outside the Barney Library to be used to return books when the library is closed. Books will be backdated to the last day the library was open so that book drop users will not incur fines for the period the library was closed.

Circulating Materials

The Barney Library is primarily a browsing library offering books, DVDs, videos, CDs, magazines, and books-on-tape for circulation. Materials can be ordered from the main library and also interlibrary loaned to meet the borrower's needs. Deliveries are received at Barney every weekday.

Computers

There are five computers for public use at The Barney Library with Word and Internet access. There is a one hour time limit on use, unless no one is waiting. Appointments may be made in advance to assure the availability of a machine. Call 677-6866 to reserve a machine or arrange for a computer class. In the children's area, young people are invited to enjoy game computers.

Copy Machine

Copies may be made in the library for ten cents a page.

Exhibits

The Hoppin Gallery, located on the second floor of The Barney Library, is available for booking art displays, subject to the library policy. Call Branch Librarian Kathy Lescoe at 677-6866 for further details.

Holds

Anyone may place a hold on a book on-line or in person at the library. Books may be picked up at either library. The requester should stipulate location at the time the hold is placed.
