If you plan to donate books here are some guidelines:
We need:
Materials about Farmington - companies, maps, clubs, family histories,
churches, etc.
We really like:
Books published in the last 5 years
Recent bestsellers; books for children
Clean copies of "classics;" books about New England
Antiques and collectibles
We don't need:
Books in poor condition
Textbooks
Readers Digest Condensed Books
Magazines (except Antiques Magazine)
Dated information (old travel guides, encyclopedias prior to 1975, etc.)
About tax statements:
If you would like a receipt for tax purposes, count the books you
are donating. We give signed, dated receipts for the number of items,
but cannot assess the value.
Other helpful hints:
Please limit donations to one or two boxes at a time. Donations in
boxes or shopping bags should be brought to the main Farmington Library
