School's Out Specials The Children's department has organized a great series of programs for May. Some highlights: the Mother's Day Craft will be Tue, May 9 @ 4pm for ages 7&up & Super Science will be Mon May 15 @ 4pm for the same ages. Registration is required.

European Best Seller Book Discussion The edgy, post-Communist sensation Snow White and Russian Red by Polish author, Dorota Maslowska will be our last WOW event for the year. Our moderated forum will be lead by Farmington resident and former Polish teacher Kasia McCormick. Tue, May 16 at 7pm. Copies of the novel are available by calling the reference desk 673-6791. Summer Reading Program begins for Adults Teens and Kids in late June, after school ends. Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales is the theme. Adults get a free coffee for every 4 books they read. Great programs are being schedule for all age groups!

Garden Tour Saturday, June 3, is the annual Friend's Garden tour. More info will be in the next newsletter.

Database spotlight: New England Ancestors is the online database of the New England Historic Genealogical Society located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is a comprehensive database of New England genealogy with strengths in the pre-Independence years up to 1850 and general Massachusetts genealogy, but covers New England broadly. Unlike most of our other databases, this can only be used within the two library buildings.
