Cool Events for Adults during a Hot Summer The library has a film series every Monday night at 7pm. Monday, July 17 the library will show Forest for the Trees, a German film, in which, a young teacher seeks a solution to her loneliness by arranging a "chance meeting" with an attractive neighbor. Database spotlight: The Science Reference Center is a new addition to the library's databases. Start here for science projects and science research needs! This database includes full text articles from the Science and Nature journals

Jul 17: Summer Independent Film Festival, Every Monday, the library will have a wonderful film at 7pm. Forest for the Trees shows Melanie, a young teacher tortured by her students and rejected by her colleagues. She seeks a solution to her loneliness by arranging a "chance meeting" with an attractive neighbor, and begins to insinuate herself into his life. It is in German with English subtitles
Jul 20: Learn to Ballroom Dance, Learn with a ballroom dance instructor. Come as a single or a pair! Register so we know how much space to reserve! 7pm.
Jul 24: Summer Independent Film Festival, Campfire Rachel, a widowed mother with two daughters, wants to join the founding group for a new settlement in the West Bank. The community won't approve her membership until the family can meet the group's religious and ideological standards. From a lonely bachelor she learns that being an outcast is not so bad. Hebrew with English subtitles. 7pm.
Jul 25: Chefs and Books, This popular series continues with Patty Queen from the Cottage Restaurant presenting The Fifth Taste : Cooking with Umami by David and Anna Kasabian. 7pm. Call to register.

Aug 1: Skateboarding at the Library! Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. Movie, snacks, tips and tricks, safety info, and a live demonstration. Rain or shine. Door Prizes! Pre-registration required. If you bring your board, a helmet is required. Other protective gear is recommended. Co-sponsored by the Library and Farmington Community and Recreational Services.

Jul 19, 26 & Aug 2: Learn to Knit Wednesdays, 3:00 p.m.  4:30 p.m. Pre- registration required. Learn at your own pace  well cover the basics. Attend all of the sessions if you can; additional sessions may be added. Beginner materials provided.
